Packers were so hot that they would have made it to the Super Bowl this year if it weren't for the sorry Giants going to the playoffs. Favre said at the start of last season that the cast of young players around him had the most talent he has ever seen on one of his teams. and at the end of the year, they started to play like veterans (won some games whupped the Bears WITH the Bears starters in the game). Everything started to click. Do you think that this upcoming season is the year Favre pulls an Elway and wins big at the end of his career? I can see it happening. Seriously.

Nope, all those same young players, with the same nagging injuries.

i would like nothing more than to see favre win the superbowl in his last year, but i think that the packers are still to young and really dont have enough experience in big games to win a championship. the only veteran leader that has the big game experience is favre. depth on the defensive side of the ball is going to be another big issue for the pack this season. unless they do some damage in the free agency, if any starters go down on defense, they are going to have some problems stopping big plays like they did at the beginning of the year. superbowl team? no. a team that could pull some upsets in the playoffs? definately.

No. While the Packers were a much improved team last season, they still have some major questions to address heading into next season (noteworthy obstacles for them are RB, and defense ). Last season, they were 23rd in the league running the ball, and 25th in the league in points per game. They will play a tougher schedule this season (based on their finish compared to '05). Factor in Favre's age, and you have to continue to wonder if he can hold up for an entire season (even though he is a tremendous competitor)...With all of that being said though, parity in the NFL allows for mediocre teams to get better in a hurry, so anything is possible I guess.

As a football fan, no. They still need a decent receiver, and no Donald Driver does not count and Greg Jennings is still in his own little world. Their line was absolutely terrible. Finally, the Defense was a mess when it was on the field. In only one person can be counted on the entire season in Favre (and that isn't even a sure thing) and a very young team now without their running back in Ahman Green, they might as well hope another miracle happens this year.

That last game against the Bears was magical. We simply disgraced that team in true PACKER style. That game showed me that the team started to work together on both sides of the ball, on defense we were making great tackles and great decisions and on offense we were converting and making big plays.Since we have an almost completely rookie offensive line they did good that last game and showed that there going to do great next year.I hope to god that Farve comes back so we dont have to deal with Rogers, despite what most people say Brett still has it. He still has one great arm and is always trying to win the game.
For the most part our team is still young (player wise) compared to other teams. With our new coach doing a great job with play calling and strategy, next year will be promising.GO PACKERS

I love the packers, and they should be a playoff team this year..but the superbowl isnt quite in our reach. If they went out and were able to sign some major additions on D and RB they might have a chance, but the free-agent market is weak this year.

No...Favre is playing for fun, not the Win one for the Gipper (Bettis Edition)
Besides their team is terrible, they have to play the AFC West this year. They had an easy schedule last year.

NO!! the Packers will be Below average, Farve is done and I hope he dosent get hurt, the team will not be able to protect him and that will be their downfall! You have to make the playoffs first, and it wont happen!

Well it's still a young team but with #4 at the helm, anything's possible. I'd absolutely love to see him go out on top. Go Pack Go!

i don't think they're a super bowl team right now, although if he plays one more year i guess they have the potential to be that good then...but right now there are too many questions on the defensive side of the ball that need to be answered
