Monuments and memorials, contemporary neighbourhoods, true regional flavoring this is what Washington, DC is; a place unlike any other; just like this web site hotelbye . Washington it's your property overseas with free museums and America's entrance yard. Washington is recognized around the world as a mark of the United States. Here, the area you cannot skip may be the Capitol. Capitol could be the seat of the House of Representatives and the Senate. The huge dome, on the basis of the dome of St. Peter's in Rome, stands out above all other Washington buildings. Like Washington itself, the developing has grown over the years since the central section was developed between 1793 and 1812. The final addition, in 1958-62, increased the key façade wherever presidents take the oath. On one other area, a marble terrace presents lovely views within the mall and the city. The inner is resplendent with frescoes, reliefs, and paintings, especially the rotunda under the good cast-iron dome with a ceiling painting by Constantino Brumidi and huge paintings of views from American history on the walls.

I agree that the government shouldn't spend $500 on a toilet seat, etc. However, it's the government's responsibility to keep spending at bay, that's why whenever you hear of the feds contracting to build a new office building they take bids. The reason they spend big is everyone who puts in the bid, overinflates the price. Why? Because the contractors know they CAN. The government isn't just going to say...well, I guess they'll be no office building. It's their responsibilty to build it. Contractors don't do that to regular folks because they know we can wait it out, or take our plans elsewhere. Plus, if you want the gov't to keep price gouging on the gov't at bay...they'd need a "committee" to oversee that. It would probably cost more to make sure the overspending doesn't happen, than to sure grin and bare it. So, Although the gov't SHOULD SPEND LESS - we all have a hand in it! I hope I made some sense.

I would vote for Ron Paul.
All the good stuff from the Libertarians but with the secure borders, and the power of an (R) behind his name.
Unfortunately at this time the LP doesn't have the strength it needs for a presidential move on it's own.
