If the toy is a little plastic ball, then no a Guinea Pig will not chew at it. If it is anything other then that, then the possibility of it getting chewed on are higher and plastic is harmful to a Guinea Pig when chewed on.
You have to remember that Guinea Pigs are like little babies when teething, they will chew on a lot of things safe for them or not. So when deciding for toys you need to be careful, as cardboards, paper, and plastic (other then a little toy ball) are all harmful to Guinea Pigs. Specifically if chewed on, as they all contain chemicals that are harmful to Guinea Pigs.

Guinea Pigs and other rodents will eat almost anytning (I had a gerbil who ate her plastic slide to bits).
The best thing, actually, would be to look in your local pet store and see what they have that's "guinea pig approved." There are tons of "chew toys" also available that will curb your piggy's appetite for chewing on things.
I have included a couple of sources in which I found toys for your guinea pig online. That should give you some idea of what would be safe or not for it.
Best of luck. ^_^

I wouldn't. They need to chew on something otherwise their teeth will keep growing, but plastic tastes sweet to them and it could block up their digestive system as well as starve them do death. The plastic woul sit in their stomach and make them feel full and then they would not eat. Use things made of non treated wood instead. Good luck!

i would think because they are a rodent, he/she would chew them up. and it could be dangerous because if they actually ever swallow any of it, they could choke or get their stomach blocked.
but then it could also depend on what kind of plastic.
