No , i wouldn't develop a chip on my shoulder over it if i were you. Have you tried talking too her about it ? Did you give her a chance to explain ? Maybe her intention was to surprise you and bake the potato , as a loving gesture. It's an easy mistake too make, placing a potato in your sock drawer instead of the oven and completely forgetting ever having seen it. After all we have all at some point in time found that we have meant too place our purse on the hook in the hallway, only to discover it lurking in the freezer 3 days later. And i bet in your own case you can pin point a time when you meant too go buy your wife a birthday/anniversary gift only too discover, too late, that the money was still hiding in your bank account, and you have no idea how it could possibly have happened or the time you went out with the lads and woke next morning with no memory of where you had left your eyebrows the night before.I think you should give her a second chance, if you can remember where you left her.

Is this some kind of joke here? LOL
I think you overreacted here. This is no reason just to get a divorce. Do both of you have some type of eating disorder, if so, you may consider on getting counseling.
By the way, I live in the state of Idaho, which is the potatoe state....we have plenty of potatoes here if you need any.
Nothing to get mad about and nothing to get a divorce over some 'hot potatoe'.

Tyler Perry makes this hilarious plays and movies and in one of them character Madea says "if you're arguing over something that small that isn't what it's about". Darling a potato is the least of your problems trying seeking counseling for you and your wife.

I'm crying here. That's why I get on this Q & A thing at night. Just for outrageous questions like this one.
I'd say give her another chance. Divorce isn't cheap.
Thanks for the laugh, sweetie!

well over a patato? because she lied to you that she didnt have a patato? well thats certainly less than my parents ( they fought to much) but i dont think that you should divorce over a patato becuse did you marry her over a potato? didnt you marry her because you love her? than y should a potato matter you migh explain to her your feeling but dont let that lead to another fight talk it out and see if she has a side of the story abd besides if you let this boil to long she say she dosnet want you anymore than you will find out that maybe she was your true love nad than what are you to do over a potato?

Surely you aren't serious. And if you are, thats a really stupid reason for divorce. Does anyone agree that we are getting some real questionable people on yahoo answers?

NO!!! What a weird thing to divorce over!! Why can't you just tell her that it was a stupid thing to lie about?? Unless you've noticed her lying about everything, this doesn't count.
