Well, one thing I hate is when rich people say, well, I'm in the 50%income tax bracket, so half my money goes to taxes and I can't donate any money.
But if they donated to worthy causes, they could make a lot of their income tax deductible (and they could decide where that money was going, rather than giving it to the government who doesn't always do the right thing.)
Plus, they're like, well, it costs soooo much to fix my hair and buy these fancy clothes and travel to these red carpet events...oh, shut up! If you weren't so caught up in fame, you wouldn't have to spend so much to maintain it, celebrity-types!!!
And really, the people you should be getting onto are rich business types. At least celebrities are entertaining. Business leaders don't entertain me, but some of them sure have a lot of money! It's irresponsible to make a ton of money and not donate it to worthy causes. They should give back, since they have so much money to play with.
There shouldn't be such an enormous gap between the super-rich and poor. Some people in the world have billions of dollars, and some people make, like, 50 bucks a year before they finally die in miserable squalor.
That's so unfair. They could still be rich...just not AS rich, and help out others!
People's greed makes me so SICK sometimes!

not all movie stars and artist of all types are rich, they are just being paid by there producers, and there agents tell them what to do, and sometimes some artists have to take permission from there producers or whatever if they are allowed, or some are just not like that. =x
if i was i would donate some to worthy causes, that'd increase my "omg hes so nice lets not talk about his fake sex tape" :o

They do. Maybe you missed all the stars donating to Katrina relief efforts. Maybe you missed Angelina Jolie's work in third world countries. Maybe you haven't seen An Inconvenient Truth. I can think of a million recent actions stars have taken and money they've donated. Sorry you missed it all.

Lots of them do, but unfortunately not all of them are equally generous as some. I would say that greed plays a major role in the hording. Also most of them don't care about anyone but themselves.
Others don't believe in charity and think of it as a futile attempt to help people and believe more in the "teach a man to fish" philosophy.

26. Prostitutes constantly appear like Julia Roberts or Jamie Lee Curtis. they have high priced outfits and stunning apartments yet no pimps. they're friendly with the shopkeepers of their neighbourhood who don`t recommendations in any respect what the female does for a residing.

Some do. Bill Gates gives away millions to charities and scholarship funds. Oprah gives away some too. There are others but its not very publicized. It's probably listed somewhere on the Internet.

Because it's less painless to them if they just convince YOU to donate more $ to worthy causes.

The more money you have the more greedy you are, wouldn't expect the stars to be handing away any of there money

It could be that they do give money but anonymously so everybody won't come out of the wood work asking for money.

would you donate the money you work hard for at your minimum wage job? its the same thing except they make way more.
