I'm having a problem with my internet. I can log onto the internet from my home, but when I open my email accounts, the information in the email does not come up.. it just sits there without loading. I keep getting a pop up sayin "click to install activex control". I have never had to do this before. I tried to do a "system restore" but that won't even open.

Please help

Every web based email systems uses an ActiveX controller, so when you are trying to check your email its trying to fined the software that will allow it to run on your computer (that software is called ActiveX, so installing ActiveX control on your computer to run youre email is normal. Just click on it and were it specifies install ActiveX controller press on it, that will install the ActiveX to run your email.

You've got to install the ActiveX control, which should be able to be done at the top of the webpage. By the sounds of it i'm guessing you're using Internet Explorer. If you can get into other webpages i'd recommend downloading the web browser Firefox. It's much better & won't give you near as many problems.

the system restore is a different issue....but try and install the activex, cause they probably just came out with a new version that your comp doesnt have (the mail servers started using a newer version)
this doesnt sound like a virus or anything bad

Go to www.microsoft.com update and let that site update your system, too include, security files.
