You must have big feet to jam in people's doors.
A thick skin is essential to survive sob stories.
An absolute minimum of intelligence, sympathy and thought would be an advantage.
Practice the following phrase, "I'm only doing my job" it will come in handy.
Make sure that you can defend yourself from "unprovoked" attacks by outraged voters (who pay your wages).
Book and pay for your holidays early and have your occupation changed on your passport to "thug", "refugee", "running-dog-capitalist-lackey" or anything but home inspector.
