Boeing and Lockheed already own the friendly sky's but had a little business stolen from it by Airbus. But now theyu arte going under and are cutting 10,000 jobs. The Europeans are not competitive with the Americans when it comes to business. They are good at soccer but...thats about it. Anyway, good for Boeing and America. WE ROCK

Don't knock Airbus. With the new plane the A380, which will be by far the biggest passenger airline in the world will be able to transport even more fat-arsed yankee in-breds around the world. People such as yourself.
By the way. It's football, not soccer. We invented the game so I believe that gives us the right to name it.

That would be an inaccurate assessment. Boeing surpassed Airbus in total aircraft sales in 2006, but no by much. Both companies are actually committed to building so many aircraft they are in essence sold out of inventory for years.

Airbus has run into serious problems with its EU-wide assembly system, and lack of proper communication led to operational problems with electrical systems on the A380 - which caused delays, and loss of market share to Boeing's revamped 747.

Moreover, Airbus has not produced a proper competitor to Boeing's 777, which has racked up a good number of orders.

Airbus will likely seek to restructure in order to remain competitive.

First off ihates... Airlines service has nothing to do with Boeing and Airbus. Read the question next time please.

Whats scary(to France) about Airbus cutting 10,000 jobs is they were already getting Government subsidies.

What a strange way to phrase a loaded question! I seem to remember not very long ago Boeing was in deep trouble, laying off thousands of workers, their CEO had to resign in disgrace. You obviously have a selective memory.
Airbus is restructuring and, although the next 12 months will be to Boeing's advantage, once the A350 and the A380 come on stream, Boeing will suffer again. As it is, the A320 series is selling more than ever.
Boeing has always had a gripe since we out-played them with Concorde and look what a fuss they made about that. Boeing are poor losers and it shows.

I travel a lot for my career. Airbus makes a really good piece of equipment. I travel overseas a lot and their planes are comfortable and quiet. All that this will do is have Lockheed and Boeing cut back on their quality.

Thats terrible . American is known for its shitty airlines and they get the lowest ratings compared to the rest of the worlds airlines. The Asian airlines usually have the highest ratings and great service. Too bad the Europeans wont give America a run for their money.
