After hearing that Scottie Pippen or/and Reggie Miller might be coming back, and people saying no because it could hurt their egos or whatever; I think that's really stupid.
If you say that, you could say that about MJ and his come back. I'll tell you this, I'm so happy I got to watch MJ play. I'm 18 and didn't get to really watch much or fully appreciate the greatest player of all time as I was too young.
I really appreciated it during the stretch when he scored 30+ to 51 points a game during a 4-5 game stretch before he got injured... a injury that could've happened to ANYONE. The Wizards were on a roll, especially Jordan.
Although he was never the same after that, I think some wonderful things could've happened if that injury did not take place. Maybe not a championship, but a playoff run. In their second year too.
I don't think it hurt his ego at all as one of / the greatest player of all time, the same will go for Pip or/and Miller. Their egos won't be busted. Agree?

I agree but if Pippen or Miller come back and don't have half decent numbers they will be ridiculed.

No I don't agree. Scottie Pippen and Reggie Miller won't be coming back to the NBA. They are both retired and have no intentions of coming back to a team in the NBA. MJ did come back to play with the Wizards but he didn't like the team as it was way better and the Wizards didn't have a good team like the Bulls had with MJ, Pippen, Rodman, and many more. Reggie Miller is also being doing stuff with TNT so he is busy with that and he has saying nothing about coming back. Scottie Pippen did this event on all star Saturday in Las Vegas for the all star weekend but that doesn't mean he will come back again to the NBA to play for a team. That is my thoughts for you.

It's not really their personal egos that's at stake so much as their public legacy. Most people now regard Jordan's comeback as a mistake, especially those that were able to follow his career from beginning to end. The problem with Pippin or Miller is that people might view them as "ring chasers". Fans don't respect someone as much who just shows up on a championship team, takes his ring and leaves. Fans want to watch a player build with his team, become great and earn the championship through hard work, like the Jordan of old. These retired guys have already shown all that they can do. It's just like circus act now. People want to watch and see if they'll embarrass themselves.

Pippen and Miller are very good players, but they dont have the greatness that MJ had.

I think Miller's ego might be busted, since he was the star of his team.

However, Pippen was a co-star of his team, and was overshadowed by many of his great teamates, including the highest 3pt average shooter named Kerr, and A GREAT rebounder in Dennis Rodman as well as MJ overshadowing and taking alot of Pippen's underserved credit.

With Jordan, he still had flashes of what he once was, but the rest of the team around didn't play well. Miller would still do fine, b/c he can shoot, Pippen will only embarras himself further like he did in Portland.

MJ was the 1st & only player at age 40 to score 40 or over points.
