There are two teams with two different reasons for making the Final Four. Maryland is playing the best ball now and are as hot as anyone in the league. If they keep playing like they are they will get no lower than a 5 seed in the tournament and could possiblly upset some good teams. Being a North Carolina fan I have to say they will reach the Final Four because of their young talent. They have great starters and a bench who could probably start for a good amount of teams in the ACC. They have the potential. The Question is do they want it bad enough?

If seeded in the tourney right....the final 4 could very well be four ACC teams.
I'd like to start with Maryland, who beat my Dukies last night, as my team who is playing the best at just the right time. They could easily win the conf tourney and play well right into the big dance. They have also had Duke's and UNC's number the last few years.
UNC has not been playing it's best over the last month, but you can never count out the Tarheels and Coach Williams.
FYI: I hate both of the above teams, but you gotta respect em!
Duke is a fans worst nightmare this year, but for and against. They have the talent and skill level to go real deep in the tournament, but with no senior leadership this team is very young and plays extremely tight at the end of games which has cost them at least 3, maybe even 4 wins that ended up being L's. Coach K is a master of the basketball arts and if anyone can get a squad ready in the season at crunch time it is him.
Va tech could get there too, not really much to say on them except they are a scrappy squad with good shooters and have flown under the radar all season for everyone except ACC fans

I think at this point because of the way they are playing, the team to beat is Maryland. For some reason they seem to be the most underated team. Come on now, they have knocked off UNC, Duke twice, and they're on a hot 6 game win streak. Gary Williams is a great coach and he knows how to lead his team. The players also play as a team, and they know how to fire each other up. I believe they have the talent to make it to the final 4, and even possibly win it all like they did a few years back. GO TERPS!

UNC I believe is the only team in ACC that has a good chance at reaching the Final Four.

UNC is an obvious choice, so I probably don't need to elaborate on them :)
I think a dark horse possibility might be VA tech. They're clearly good at the upsets, and that counts big come tourney time. Don't be surprised if they make a solid run into that tourney.
I don't think Maryland is a possibility.

Maryland - Hottest team in the country right now.
North Carolina - Deepest, most athletic, most talented team in the country.
ACC is the best conference in the country according to RPI's.

i think unc right now is the only team capable of getting there, but if va tech, virginia, or maryland get on a roll they might come from nowhere to make noise

UNC is about as close to a lock as it gets. maryland and duke both could if they get super-hot and have a weak bracket, but it would be doubtful even then
