I am a nurse and i were my crocs to work, i have fallen 4 times with my crocs and the last being serious enough for me to decide not to wear them to work. I have been lucky and not seriously hurt, but this last time i am bruised up completely and sore for 2 days. If there is any water near i slip and slide and its usually what causes my falls. I was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. I know around here one hospital as banned the shoes and there have been others hurt in my work place to with wearing the same shoe.

Just so people understand, a lot of health care workers are wearing crocs and its not really as a fashion statement, but because they are comfortable when standing 12-14 hour days. I was more asking this to see if this has been an issue for many other people.

I haven't had that problem...they tend to have better grip than my flip-flops. Maybe they're too large? In any case, proper nursing shoes will probably be as efficient as ever and also look a bit more professional.

I don't understand why women who walk a lot at work wear such crazy shoes in the first place... You're going to need a podiatrist (for the bunions) AND an orthopedist (for the broken ankles) before too long. As a nurse you should know better. Get yourself some loafers and screw fashion.

When I wore mine in the summer it happened constantly. Sometimes I'd slip on water but most of the time I'd just end up tripping over them because of the unusual shape(because they're sort of bulky).
