i bought the game beyond atlantis 2 and was wondering whether the game will indeed work on my brand new computer!

Good chances it will. I have seen some of the old games that do not. Most of those were based on using 95 and 98. All you can do is load it and try.

Most modern xp games should run on Vista - the two system where designed to be fairly compatible.
The the graphics seem to cause a few video problems however, certainly with Nvidia video cards. Vista as of yet was not designed to play games.

Vista doesn't work good with games... It was released too early and still has bugs. In every game my friend played on Vista It either... Froze, did not work at all, skipped frames, or other bad things.

Most likely. Vista is backwards compatible.
