Gonna be different this time!

====================

Heard of a van that is
Loaded with weapons
Packed up and ready to go
Heard of some gravesites
Out by the highway
A place where nobody knows
The sound of gunfire
Off in the distance
I'm getting used to it now
Lived in a brownstore
I lived in the ghetto
I've lived all over this town

This ain't no party
This ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
No time for dancing
Or lovey dovey
I ain't got time for that now

Transmit the message
To the receiver
Hope for an answer some day
I got three passports
A couple of visas
You don't even know my real name
High on a hillside
The trucks are loading
Everything's ready to roll
I sleep in the daytime
I work in the nightime
I might not ever get home

This ain't no party
This ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
This ain't no mudd club
Or C. B. G. B.
I ain't got time for that now

This ain't no party
This ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
No time for dancing
Or lovey dovey
I ain't got time for that now

Heard about Houston?
Heard about Detroit?
Heard about Pittsburgh, P. A.?
You oughta know not to
Stand by the window
Somebody see you up there
I got some groceries
Some peanut butter
To last a couple of days
But I ain't got no speakers
Ain't got no headphones
Ain't got no records to play

Why stay in college?
Why go to night school?
Gonna be different this time
Can't write a letter
Can't send a postcard
I can't write nothing at all

This ain't no party
This ain't no disco
This ain't no fooling around
I'd love you hold you
I'd like to kiss you
But I ain't got no time for that now

Trouble in transit
Got through the roadblock
We blended with the crowd
We got computers
We're tapping pohne lines
I know that that ain't allowed

We dress like students
We dress like housewives
Or in a suit and a tie
Changed my hairstyle
So many times now
I don't know what I look like

You make me shiver
I feel so tender
We make a pretty good team
Don't get exhausted
I'll do some driving
You ought to get you some sleep

Burned all my notebooks
What good are notebooks?
They won't help me survive
My chest is aching
And it burns like a furnace
The burning keeps me alive

You should go to night school if you work during the day or if you're just not a morning person. the only thing is that it cuts into the luminous nite life. The reasons why you should stay in college is purely up to you. If you love it and you are passionate about having a career which requires a degree then college is what's best. Always try it out before you decide. But if you're unhappy like I was, take a break if you can, then go back to school.

Well, I took a few years off of school due to personal reasons (which I do not wish to discuss) but I ALWAYS planned on going back. I am in school now and I am so glad I went back. I do not plan on having a career in the future, after I have kids, I just want to stay home with my family and watch their every move of growing up. However, the reason I went back was for myself. I wanted to prove to myself that I am not a quitter and I can do it! I can finish what I started. From my experience(s), education is never a waste. It's always good to learn because it makes you more intelligent and open-minded about the world around you.

Hey college isn't for everyone. People will try to tell you otherwise, but only YOU know what's best for you. I HATED college and I still think it's a stupid institution that needs a lot of fixing and work. And Bachelors Degrees are basically crap now. I stuck it out myself and it has helped me with the type of job I'm in now and it got me a pay raise, whereas otherwise I'd be making less. But that was my decision. I nearly dropped out several times and I did for a while.

You decide if you are okay doing what you can without and a degree and screw it if you don't want it. College is always there later if you want to go back. Hell if you can find good work and do ok without the degree, I may ask you what you did and do it!

Knowledge gives you power over your future. Want to be a store clerk your entire life? That's fine, so long as you are happy, but if you want to go further, then you'll need education and that's why you stay in college or go to night school.

Because I would prefer that my life's work not consist of washing dishes in a 100 degree kitchen for 4.25 an hour.

EDIT: I see, you're asking why you shouldn't go to night school instead of college during regular hours?
Why on earth would you want to deprive yourself of sleep and bring your grades down? You don't actually think it will be easier that way, do you?

Because you want a higher education than high school and maybe you want to be a doctor or something. Because then you can sleep in the morning and go to school at night.

Hmm, not staying in college can net you $10 an hour or less and and very few, if any, open doors.

Staying in college can net you $150,000 a year and up, plus prestige, knowledge, many open doors, respect, etc., etc..
