Yahoo! Real Estate has been a great tool for me. I've also used Craig's List and also gone to the websites of some local realty companies such as RE/MAX

I second Realtor.com. I used that before going into an agents office. She did not pull anything I had not already seen on the site.

Get a realtor. Most of the time buyers pay the selling and buying agents so it won't cost you a thing. My realtor sent me daily lists of all the houses listed with in depth pictures, prices, etc.
