the thing with this is it will be an awful lot of money when you consider that the wages range between £15.000 - £150.000 for a top flight player and you add up the amount of players in premiership (if they all agreed) the minimum donation per player will be £2142.00 and the maximum would be £21428 that would result in millions per year going in to the nhs the players don t have to do it they choose to it is a nice thing if you ask me would you seriously give away say 4 days wages if you earned there wages it is reasonable and i guarantee the nhs will be very grate full

What would be even better is, that " EVERYONE " who is earning over 100 grand a week could offer to donate 1 DAY`S PAY, think how well off the N.H.S. would be then, I know Football Players earn loads of money but then so do a lot of people including politicians (sorry if that`s a swear word). Good Question.

i think footballers get way too much money anyway,so they shouldnt donate it,they shouldnt be given that much in the first place.the NHS doesnt get enough money to treat a certain amount of people each day, what do footballers give to this country? a buzz every now and then when our team wins.what does the NHS do for this country? a family member etc a better life, they gave my mum her life back after removing her cancer, and she's now clear, the NHS are brilliant but could be better if they received more funds.

This would be a good news for the country but I don't think it would be a good idea for those foreigner players who always put in mind they are there to only work and then go back to their countries.
But in the same time I have to admit it would definately be a great idea.
Thanx!

Would you like to include Pop stars,Film stars , Bankers,Docters and anybody else that earns more than you,or would you include yourself.
I really think that our government should be paying the nurses what they are worth not relying on other people to donate money.

i don't agree with that. giving to a good cause should be out of choice, not forced onto someone because of how much money they earn. also, the nhs? shouldn't the government be sorting that out, not stevie g, frank l etc

A days pay is a nice gesture. A weeks would be even better and they still wouldnt feel it. Some of them are on £120,000 a week. They could easily afford it

Yes, but not in that way.
I think they should get more tax taken off them. People who are paid less than 15,000 a year should be taxed less than anyone else. Also if you work over 40 hours you should not get taxed on anything you earn over that.
