At a Subaru dealership.
So... For my question. I went on a kinda damp day, it had been raining. I noticed the seal on the side windows were moist. I am afraid the windows may leak. It's a new car, a 2007 and not just that one car was moist, all of them were. So I was wondering if that will cause them to leak? Or is that usually normal?

I assume you are talking about the top of the windows against the seal has that wet look. That is normal for the Subaru it is not a leak. All Subaru's with the exception of the Tribeca do this. It is because the windows do not have frames. They are great cars well engineered and very reliable and safe. The Impreza has very good fuel economy, great handling and a great safety rating. They are very reliable, keep up the maintenance and the car will last many years. The re-sale value is good on them too. I have been driving Subaru cars for over 20 years.

I drive an 02' impreza and its likely just condensation or from rolling the window up and down. The frameless windows do tend to condense a little easier but I've never ever seen a leak in any way shape or form and when i bought mine, the seal on the back window was detached. Water only ran down the door seal, never inside the car. By the way, imprezas are a fantastic car, very reliable (except normal turbo maintainance for the wrx, sti's) and supreme bad weather handling.

Oh ya, and I've never had problems with the windows freezing to the seals, nothing more than a normal door freezing shut anyway. But slight wind noise is potentially going to occur.

Yeah...It's normal for a Subaru after a rainy day or a car wash. It's because of the frameless windows. Over time, you will probably hear some wind noise while driving down the highway. That's the biggest drawback of the frameless windows. The windows also freeze to the seal sometimes in the winter (edit: if you live/drive in a cold area ( < 17 degrees F) with snow/ice).

No, it's not a leak.

I wouldn't worry about it. Subaru makes an excellent car. I drive a 2006 Subaru Impreza iWagon and it has given me no problems at all so far.

The moistness on the window seal is of no consequence. It is fine ... nothing to worry about ... I drive an MY07 STi and have had no problems with window seals or leaking...

I think this time of year, with the colder temperatures, you may be seeing condensation. It is not likely that a whole lot full of Impreza's are leaking. Maybe someone left them open in the rain and they have not dried out.

they don't leak but the window does seal on the outside so when you open the door you get drips just like most cars its OK
