It's me, my roomate, and 2 of her younger kids. No pets what-so-ever.

It depends on what you live in now. I just bought a house that is 1750 sq. ft. and I was living in a house that was 1100 sq. ft. It definitely has a lot more room but it's not huge by any means.

I think that depends on what you are used to and how many people will be living in it. If it's just you or you and your spouse, 1700 sq ft should be plenty. If you have 5 kids and two dogs, that would be too crowded for me.

Its a nice average size home depends upon what your used to - also what price range you are looking in.
