Yeah, kinda the same thing happening to me, except a little smaller. I had an F in math for my progress report, but now it's at a C-. My parents know that I usually don't get such bad grades, so they kinda blew up on me about it, but I explained that I was absent a couple times and that I had technique classes during that period. (mini groups for orchestra or band.) You could try explaining why you have such a bad grade, like maybe you don't understand the homework, or maybe you just don't do well on the subject, because it's hard. Don't try to lie to her, it will only make things worse. And tell her that you will try to pull it up as much as you can. If there are any extra credit opportunites, DO THEM ALL! Fortunately, we have unlimited extra credit online, so i'm going to do about 20 of those to pull up my grade. And turn in any missing work that you might have; my grade went up from an F to a C- when i turned in missing work. Good luck.

Everyone survives because of bad grades. Hell I graduated college making a lot of C's, a few D's, and when I liked classes I got A's and B's.
And I make over $30,000 today. So it can be done. Parents just want to see you do well, not slip up. Try improving your scores to impress your mom and be genuine that you feel bad you are not doing well and discuss ways you can make your grades better with her. Work with her to do well.

Although I don't know how old you are, I would say that you probably need to pay attention, take notes, and study harder in order to be successful in school. Your grammar and spelling need some work, at the very least. Ask yourself some serious questions and answer them with all your heart. Are you trying your hardest and doing your best? Are you putting in enough time for your school work? Do you consider school important to your future? If you answered NO to any of these questions, you now know why you are about to have problems with your mother. Listen to her. She wants only the best for you and she has the answers to your questions.

u maybe able to convince her that the work that u do is over the head she has on her shoulders, most people only condemn and don't see the frustrations of learning as a skill and a tool, she has past this time in life and should be trying to show you the ropes and make your entrance in to understanding what all this is going to be worth as plug nickel in ten years anyway, share your wants and needs is easier than hiding the facts that it has little meaning in real world but is trumpeted up to control and regulate

Try the "I know I'll do better next time" or "the teachers hate me" or also just try telling her the truth and hope that works. Some times just taking the heat will do it. I think i will be in the same bet in a few weeks. To get your grades up just do the homework you'll be surprised by what you learn and how mush more self-confidence you'll have.

your mom is probabaly gunna be mad anyway. try telling her something good first and make sure your are honest. Like tell her about a good grade you get in a class. Make sure it looks like you are working hard, and tell her you will do better. If you just pay a lot of attention in class you will see how much it will help. think about it you go up a little bit in each class, next marking period she will probably be very pround of you

Yeah ... it's time to eat crow, chica. Tell your mom what's going on, and tell her you need help. Not only will this make you seem mature, but she probably won't get as pissed as she would otherwise. She's going to find out, so just be honest - the sooner the better (but make sure she's in a good mood!). Good luck!
