It would probably be in a gold or coal mine. where the passage goes under a mountain. This would put more earth above you. There may be a lava tube that would be the deepest point I would like to know how deep and where as well.

We have gone up to about 4000 meters for off shore drilling of oil.Japan now getting equipped with to drill up to 7000 meters depth in ocean to monitor the seismic activities with the help of some other friendly nations.
