What tips me off is usually the way they dress. It's kinda cool to know people from all around the world. Having them tell you about their country is so much better than reading about it.

No, seriously, I found, much to my relief, that they were just like me. I worked in NATO and lived in Norway, and I learned that although we had some minor differences, we were basically the same people. We all want the same things in life, to be happy and healthy and appreciated.

Well...their accents and how they were used to different rules and laws. They also socialized differently.
