Think of four things that we know that all animals need. (Food, water, air and shelter) Today we want to specifically look at the foods that the animal needs. Only green plants can manufacture food. The meats that we eat come from animals that eat plants. We will complete our study of the basic needs of animals with a very interesting activity, but you will have to wait to see what it is going to be.

There are several examples of animals in the wild killing over mating issues, territory, pack leadership, resources and more. These examples can be shown in all forms of life on earth; plant, animal, etc. These animals don't even have higher functioning consciousnesses. With that, your premise for this statement is false. The ideas that man kills over are based upon some perceived need, so no your ideas are not your enemy. The perception that you have a need that can only be filled by killing is the problem.

well you need to decide what animal you are talking about...
for instance a bat has no need for light, ever.
but a bearded dragon will die with out UVA and UVB light in a very short amount of time.
Aquatic animals dont need air.
I would say that there are only 2 basic needs of all living creatures.
A source of food or energy and moisture.
You cant even really say "water" because some animals, snakes for example, get almost all thier liquid needs met directly from thier prey.

Good question and difficult to answer. As a matter of fact, it lends itself to several answers- every alternative equally good and, well equally confusing. 1) Evolutionary physiology suggests we acquired verbal skills, as we learnt to walk on twos, if you like, instead of on all fours. New brain that started developing with bipedalism has, probably, nothing to do with the thinking process. Human language is primarily a vehicle of expressing thought, and not for thinking itself. 2) In psychological terms, rationalization is a defence mechanism that justifies essentially animal behavior of human beings. 3) It follows that animals, too, do think. But their thought is restricted to survival and procreation. 4) The only difference between humans and animals is that the former can exchange ideas, by so doing, have built up collective intelligence. Our poor cousins have to make do with grunts,- primal language we still use instinctively when engaged in animal activities. Getting back to your question, ideas are simply rationalization of primeval instinct to kill each other. We have kept at least one Divine Command to procreate and obeyed it too well. My answer, in short, is we kill each other for basic needs ( the basic needs of humans is vastly different from those of animals). Animals kill for food; we kill for space for our kind to grow. And rationalize. Please do not blame thought. The poor thing gives our conscience something of a peace.

There are six: Air, water, light, space, ambient temperature and a bureacratic, monolithic global organization to ensure that man cannot prudently utilize or enjoy the earth's resources.
