That's one fine question. Why indeed? So few people in the general public are aware that this even happened. If you ask the average person on the street if they knew that the Bush Administration had helped the Bin Laden family leave America - when ALL OTHER AIRCRAFT where GROUNDED, they would look at you like some kind of freak.
I guess it's upto the enquiring minds to follow these things.
