there's nothing wrong with admiring a dead person as long as you don't take it overboard. same goes for living idols. i think idolization of any person us unhealthy if your life begins to revolve around them. but if you are truly inspired and motivated by a person's music, work, or legacy, that's awesome - and a dead person is no less qualified for that respect than a living person. obviously they did enough while they were living to make people want to remember them after they died.

people ahve wondered if Elvis, 2pac, Jim Morroson, and many others are dead. Why would a huge performer pretend to be dead and no one ever kows or tells? I mean honestly it would become a burden to always be surrounded by fans, but you know someone someday would eventually see you. That is my opinnion. And even if they are not dead, let them be what they want. Elvis would be 72 years old. If the guy at the chop shop was elvis, would he be in his 70's, and be half out of it like Ozzy, due to drug abuse? Yeah but 2pac is no Bob Marley either.

I dont listen to 2pac, im a metalhead, but since metal bands in general tend to breakup a lot, I know what you mean. I just listen to their CD's, I dont know why people think that isnt enough. I can understand if they miss seeing them live but its not the end of the world.

I'd luv to believe pac was alive. He was before his time! Extremely talented guy! There was a lot more to him than what you first see! Wish i could've met him! The world was robbed when he was murdered. 13th September 1996. R.I.P Tupac! x x

Because people realize that the music their idols made before they passed still sounds better than half the crap that's out now

because they should not be forgotten. john lennon has been a big inspiration to me, and i am not in denial or anything and accept the fact that he is gone, but all of his accomplishments should be remembered.
2pac..eh. whatever.

Carl Jung had a theory on this sort of thing.
Basically, in the absence of religion, people create their own religious messiahs.
