It says either "there is no disc in drive, insert disc and try again." or "Windows media player cannot record to disc. then two buttons close or more info" well i clicked on the more info and did everything they suggested but it still won't work. I just burned one like two weeks ago just fine...i don't know what has gotten into the thing. Help???

WMP can't even sync to my SD card, so I wouldn't trust it to burn anything. There are a few freeware programs to burn CDs/DVDs.

Have you recently download WMP 11? If you have, I recommend you roll back to version 10. I have had trouble with 11 and every since I went back to 10 my problems have been mostly fixed. If you have Windows XP and have more than one user logged on, sometimes it won't read the disc. That has happened to me many times. Just restart the computer and it should work. Perhaps your computer is not reading your CD drive for some reason. Have someone take a look and make sure something didn't get jarred loose. Lastly, if you are using a different brand/type of CD then last time, maybe you should use the type you originally had. Good luck.

Try using realplayer burner (www.realplayer.com). It's also free... and better
