What is the recommended emergency procedure for transmitting a warp speed command to the Flentor Generator switches when the trilithium/ selenium probe is working at a third of capacity.
Your answer must take into consideration the current safety laws and procedures set down by the Federation (section 6/subsection 904/ for the year 7645), and of course the safety of your crew.

Thank you everyone for your contribution so far, I will soon be able to formulate an answer to this vexing question.
I note with interest the answers from Commander Zahbudar, Captain Franja and Captain Solarsystemsurfer2005. I feel somewhat humble, in that I am among Celestial giants in reference to your involvement in the inter Galactic Wars, and the Space Federation struggles that followed.
Within the envelope of warp speed and time travel, I hope our paths will cross again some day!

Dear Exam Student:

Ref: Series 771, 772, and 9000 Type T/S Probes

Flentor Generator switching commands are routed through Main Communications Bus 35B and 35C which is located aft of bulkhead ACR81.

If a situation should arise wherein the T/S probe is only up to 1/3 capacity then there will not be sufficient residual selinium dioxide to activate the Main Bus Channelizer Array. Communications through this route will be short circuited due to Main Bus outage.
That is the reason why redundant T/S Probe Canisters were installed in the space adjacent to bulkhead ACR81 and forward of bulkhead ACR82.

To provide the necessary communications power for commands to the Flentor Generator switchgear merely install Bypass Jumpers A and B (located in ACR 8 Spares Cabinet) between the failing T/S Canister and the backup Canisters next to it.

Restart the Main Bus Comm Controller.
Restart the Command Processor.

Issue commands as required.

All installation work must be performed by Certified Federation Union Technical Personnel, and inspected by Federal Space Aviation Administration authorities. Submit details and date of T/S Probe Failure on Form 552941A-1 in Triplicate to Star Fleet Command, Attention HyperDrive Division Maintenance.

Your Chief Engineer will probably tell you it is impossible to transmit any warp speed commands with the probe only working to one third capacity... I suggest you fix him with an icy stare, raise the index finger of your left hand - pause for effect - then say "Make it so!"

Delegate command to a less qualified officer and when everything goes **** up admit that you have learnt a valuable lesson. Point out that the only casualties were second rate actors in red uniforms.
