I respect gay people because they are being who they really are. Why does everybody have something against them?

Well first of all I wouldn't use the word in such a general question as that but I don't believe the majority of people hate, and if they do then they were brainwashed to.
But in general people dislike or bring attention to what is not the norm..
For example:
People laugh/stare/point at the physically deformed
Ignore the elderly
Stare/point/glare at people of the same sex holding hands
Laugh/comment/stare at people who wear their hair differently ( be it pink purple or blue) or clothes differenty.
If you are a minority in ANY setting you are usually treated differently or looked at differently
So you can say its human nature but definetely not acceptable

Not sure about the hate part but when you have a group wanting more rights than they allready have you will always have some opposition . I'm homophobic to some extent . I don't hate gay people but I do wish they would have stayed in the closet. My sister married two different gay guys and had 2 children. They are long gone and she will never be the same .

i do no longer hate gays - genuinely. I hate MILITANT gays. those so rapid to label ME, a heterosexual, married guy as a redneck, homophobic imbecile. those that are indignant, abusive, loud-mouthed and too illiberal to have an clever talk on why some people locate it confusing to wrap there heads around 2 adult men or 2 women people expressing themselves sexually to a minimum of one yet another while the very act is so unnatural to maximum. (i'm going to wager that fact basically annoyed various gay people). women folk and adult men people compliment one yet another so for sure. A yin/yang flow of womanly gentility and masculinity. adult men, by skill of nature weren't designed to sexually charm to a minimum of one yet another or we could disappear as a species. bypass forward and have butt intercourse, hug and kiss like a guy and a woman, yet i'm going to be damned if there is something incorrect with ME for no longer information it.

I don't think everyone hates them... in general. And I don't agree with the "so much" either. Our society now is much more tolerant than before.
They're just not thoroughly welcomed not being the norm.
