Where should I go to get people to sponsor me? Who should I ask?

I need money for my field hockey season next year.
I need people to sponsor me though. I am really shy....
what should I say?

Exactly as you phrased your question. Ask your neighbors, friends and the store manager of the stores you shop most often. Offer to supply a picture of yourself in your hockey gear for them to put up in their store. Its great advertising.
