Well, a lot of things could be messing with your period. It could just be that yours is erratic and it will continue that way. You say your a little overweight, try going for a walk or a jog in the evenings. Even something as small as weight can disrupt a period. Also, try to simplify your life as much as possible. I know that when ever I get too stressed out it takes a toll on my digestive system and my period. Unless your sexually active I wouldnt really worry about it, but I would see if you can get a gynochologist to have a look at you (no pun intended), rather then a regualr doctor. Regular doctors dont know quite as much about the female reproductive system as a gyno would.

many go on the pill to help regulate and stress can be a big cause of irregular periods but 14 months is awfully long. personally, i'd see a different dr to find out whats going on. there could be something there that you're not aware of.

I was over weight and i was stressed out very much...so the doctor said it could be both which he insisted that i lose weight and control stress... once i lost over 30 pounds MY PERIOD was back to normal... so maybe you should go back to the doctor and check it out more... please check in with me and sees if this is the problem

Birth control helps regulate periods. Go see your doctor and ask them about it.
