is it just me or does it sound like he's singing about britny spears like when he says that she cheated on him or broke his heart and then what goes around comes around(this whole thing with k fed)

Actually you could be right, I did wonder what he was refering to with this song because at the time of writing he would have been happy with Cameron.
That is of course if he wrote it himself and not payed a writer to do it.

When the album came out, it was rumoured that that song was about Britney. I remember when he did his interview with Barbara Walters. He said that he was ready to settle down with Britney. She really broke his heart. He even cried. When he was talking, you could feel the grief he was describing. After hearing the song for myself, I'm SURE he's talking about Brit. Now that he's had some time and space, this song shows how bitter he still is. Nice song though!

I don't think its about Britney, I mean they broke up a LONG time ago and he is or WAS happy with Cameron Diaz. And that song is just what it is, a song!
Its a shame Cameron and Justin broke up though, they made a great couple.

Now that you mention it, like everyone else, I think you're right! Wow, totally radical connection, dude. That works, she did cheat and broke his heart while they were so good together. The rehab stint, divorce and custody battle, and almost no fans, that's what happened. Britney hogged the spotlight when she was with him, then she lost it and JT gained it all back. I can make sense of it now, wow. Thanks for all that, though!

yeah thats what i was thinking. i think it is, because i think i remember reading somewhere that he wrote this song from personal experience. and look at the turnout. britney's life is ruined from the whole k-fed thing. look at who turned out more successful
i hope this song is true on life. that what goes around..comes back ground. becuase i like this guy a lot and he doesnt like me and has hurted me (without knowing it). so yeah

Justin has said that he wrote this song about a relationship that his best friend went through - not him. BUT it does have a lot of similarities with his relationship with Brit.
