All I remeber is I saw this movie in 1993 may not be the year it was made, It had the heros rideing clydesdales through the sky to get to a remote castle, to save a a damsel in distress, please help?

I'm not totally positive, but I think you might be talking about the movie Krull (1983). There is a scene in the movie where the hero and his buddies ride off to a castle that changes locations everyday.
If you remember when the hero meets up with his damsel and then he is able to shoot fire out of his hand to kill the creature that kidnapped her, it is definitely Krull.
