However, you should make note that your sentence is incorrectly formed.

the rained began to fall,but we did'nt want to leave.

Should be:
The rain began to fall, but we didn't want to leave.

Capitalize the beginning of the sentence.
Rained is a past tense verb, but you want to use the noun
"rain."

Insert a space between the comma after the first clause.

And move the apostrophe into the correct place, between the n and t. (Please note that the apostrophe shows where a letter has been deleted. To make the contraction, in the original phrase "did not," you remove the "o," and replace it with an apostrophe. didn't (the apostrophe shows where the "o" was.
