At my preschool the little girl Tessa uses it as a nickname for Tanessa.
It is cute - definitely grows on you.

I agree with the others who said Teresa or Theresa. Tessa is a lovely name. I like Tessa Rose or Tessa Lyn

Tessa is the nickname for Teresa. But I prefer it as the first name by itself. It's really a cute name.

The only one I can think of is Countessa. I went to high school with a girl named this and everyone called her Tessa. She hated her name though. I am not fond of Countessa, but Tessa is cute. Hope this helps.
