They have the longest playoff drought in the NBA, haven't been to the playoffs since Chris Webber's rookie season in '94. They traded him the next season. I think they have the "Curse of Webber" just like the Red Sox had the "Curse of the Bambino"

By the way, there is one constant variable in the Warriors' 13 year playoff drought:
Their OWNER, Chris Cohan.

Sox sold Ruth and watched him lead the yankees to multiple World Series
Webber has never accomplished anything and has a specled path of getting to the playoffs himself
GS has the curse of poor management and bad decisions
nothing more, nothing less
I mean this is the team that let Gilbert Arenas leave and broke up Run TMC

I don't think they have a curse, but it's obviously bad luck. If several decades pass without them lmaking the playoffs (same duration as the curse of the bambino), then I'll say they're cursed wholeheartedly.
Mullin's done a great job. He fared the best in the Indy trade...skill wise AND money wise. Getting rid of Montgomery was a must - he's just not an NBA coach. Nellie lets them run and gun and holds them accountable for all facets of the game - often calling them out in the media to motivate them. He's one of the few with the credibility to do so without having a team backlash. The Warriors are definitely on their way UP.
BUT, like I said, they have bad luck. If they keep this nucleus, and this nucleus can stay healthy, they'll make the playoffs within the next 3 years. Baron, J-Rich, Stephen Jackson/Pietrus, Al harrington and Biedrens is a playoff worthy 5. Add Monta Ellis and the rest of their bench, and they're definitely a force to be reckoned with. The key is injuries though. They're barely making the minimum roster number for their next game. If they're all healthy (most importantly Baron Davis - the catalyst to the run-n-gun offense), then they are a playoff team for sure. Once they add a pure center and move Biedrens to the 4, then they'll becoem a contender. That is, if everyone stays healthy.

Warriors haven't been the best team since Chris Webber got traded. They got some good players like Baron Davis, Jason Richardson, and some other players. The Warriors will only make it to the playoffs if they get better players on the team. I thought the trade with the Indiana Pacers didn't help the Warriors at all. Chris Webber has been to different teams over the years including the Kings, the Sixers, and now he is with the Pistions. The Warriors should have thought about getting Chris Webber this year as it would have helped their team. The Warriors need some more all star players as not even one of their players was in the all star game this year. The Warriors should trade away some of their average players they got from the Pacers and some other players they don't need and get better players then they will make the playoffs again. I don't see them making the playoffs with only have Baron Davis and Jason Richardson on the Warriors. It could be the curse of Chris Webber that the Warriors haven't made the playoffs but still they could have traded for better players this year as trading with the Pacers didn't help me at all this year.

I don't think there is a "Curse of Webber". But I do feel bad for that team. Every year they seem to start off with so much promise and then they usually either fall to injury, underachieve, or both. I believe that one of these seasons they will make the playoffs.

I don't think it's a matter of a curse. It's just lousy luck during the draft and incorrect personnel moves when picking free agents based upon the team's needs.
It's much like the SF Giants always adding older veteran players in the hopes of having them advise the younger players how to play better, but that only works, to a point. I think they should just "go for it" and pick high profile players and don't think too much about the salary cap.

The Memphis Grizzlies have been in the playoffs the final 2 years. the squaddies have not been in the playoffs in six years they are youthful team with much less playoff experience, 2nd twelve months coach and that they do no longer seem to be meant to be the place they are precise now it is why. Kenny: Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are a million/2 black and a million/2 white.

our gm has been destroying this team since 94 or so and all you have to do is look around the league and you see all stars that were in warriors jerseys and were "given " away for lesser players. there is no curse just bad management.
