Your uncl, first f all I'm not crying of anything,
When turn on your radio, do you pay for tune it?
I pay $35 every month for my DSL.
And also do shopping through the web, don't you think those stores on the web pay to get announce?
do not come with your cheap law knowledge if you never though about this do not answer important questions.
Don't you think all the Internet companies should pay the artist, since 50% of users by computers mostly for entertainment.

I don't mine if you buy your own Cd's cause that's is your business, in other words I respect any one living, the same I wait from others, cause I'm no reselling the music I download from Ares it is only for my own use

You have a very good point and i used to do the same thing like recording movies off TV using a VCR or a DVR. Whats up with these people today . most of them have already been paid for the work they have done anyway.

It is strictly speaking illegal to record and play music from any source if you have not paid the owner of the copyright. If the recording is from an LP and you OWN the LP, although this is a grey area, you would not be prosecuted for it as long as you retain the original recording and do not sell it. Copyright owners recognise that you might want the recording in a different format ie. cassette or CD, but by the letter of the law you are not legally entitled to make a copy.

It's not stealing if you copy it from radio since the radio pays royalties for the rights to play it, thus paying the artist.
It's not stealing if you copy from the record, since buying the record pays the artist.
Downloads DO NOT PAY THE ARTIST.
You come up with a system to reward good creative work without the RIAA and I'm listening.

You're crying about not being able to steal downloads to save you a dollar instead of paying the right people? You probably shop at Wal-Mart too.
