i want to return it to macy's but i have no receipt. will they me switch the type of bag it is and pay the difference? it has all the original tags and never been used, but like i said, i dont have any type of receipt. it's a long story.

I've never bought a Dooney and Bourke but all the Coach ones I've got have never had a Macy's tag, just the original.. Buy something from Macy's or get a Macy's bag and stick it in there. Make sure you include dustbags or care information you may have got with it. If you're young bring your Mom or Dad so it doesn't just look like you're some kid trying to pull a fast one on them. check the label that is attached to the bag. macy's usually puts little stickers on the price tags that act like a receipt. They can usually scan that and let you exchange.

You usually can't return anything to Macy's without the little sticker on the tag. But, doesn't hurt to ask.

they wont let you because you dont have a reciept, because they have no other way of knowing if you stole the bag.
maybe, its like that for other stores but im not sure for macy's.
