Oprah.
I think she is smart, strong and a truly benevolent human being. She is charismatic enough to communicate to the masses, and she has this quality that can make people believe in her sincerity.
Now, I'm not a 26 year old housewife that spends all her time at home and thinks that everything Oprah says is fabulous. I'm a forty year old professional male that has watched her show maybe 3 or 4 times when I was home sick. But I can see her ability. She is extremely intelligent and her business empire is expansive. But most of all, she is sincere. It's the damnedest thing. People love her because they feel that she loves them. And you know what? I think she does love them.
What would it be like to have a President that was a caring a decent person? She might make our country a better place to live. She might not end up killing hundreds of thousands of innocent people in unjustified wars. She might be able to forge critical alliances with foreign powers. She may save this country.

Congressman John Boehner from Ohio.
For the most part he tells it like it is, which for a politician is extremely rare. He seems to be the most intelligent one of the bunch. His views and ideas aren't to either extreme. He isn't always trying to get in the news, he does his job.

I'll name one for each party
Haley Barbour, the governor of Mississippi, for the Republicans. While those Louisiana politicans were whing about Katrina, Barbour just rolled up his sleeves and went to work cleaning and rebuilding.
Ed Rendell, the governor of Pennsylvania. Can keep the spendaholics of Philadelphia from bankrupting the city and kept property taxes low.

I once read that anybody intelligent enough to do the job properly is too smart to take the job.
Whoever runs, they better have a good way to fix our education system and Social Security system.

Wesley Clark
Wesley Clark has a long and distinguished record of service in the armed forces as both a leader and a force for justice in the military.
He is the only one I've seen so far not endebted to special interests. He is the only one I've seen so far, aside from McCain, who has actually served in a war zone.
“It’s very hard not to think in terms of the welfare of the country, and when you see the country in trouble, in challenge, yes, you’d like to pitch in and help.”
-- General Wesley Clark, Meet The Press 6/14/03
