I don't want to take tap, irish, cheerleading, ballet or hiphop,(which pretty much excludes the most popular ones) but otherwise I'm pretty open. Any ideas?

Ballroom? It's the first type that came to mind that you hadn't excluded. Here's a whole list:
1. Ballroom
2. River dancing
3. Belly dancing
4. Something Latin
5. Breakdancing

My fave would be #3 (belly dancing) since I've always thought belly dancing was really cool.

I like the 3rd answer. Latin dances are the way to go. Try Bachata
