East -west is recommended in India, not N-S, esp. head towards North is not. But sleep in which ever position feels right for you. You will know in a few days whether it is OK or not.

The inclination of the PISA tower, by way of yeliding of the floor (different examples in Pisa are the bell tower of S. Nicola and S. Michael of the Barefoot), is approximately 5° and 30' in direction of SOUTH (comparable to a precipice measured between the 1st and seventh tale of approximately 2.ninety 5 m) with a sinking on the middle of the backside of m 2.25.

North-South,with head to the North definitely works for me,but I'm a terrible insomniac to start with.I shouldn't think for most people it would make a great deal of discernable difference. My girlfriend could sleep leaning up against a wall if she was tired enough!

I wouldn't worry about it, the position of North is constantly changing anyway as are the magnetic forces (through changes in the tilt of the earth, the earths orbit around the sun, the earths wobble etc)
I always find that plenty of exercise, a good diet, a decent mattress and pillow, and a dark room are the best ways to get good sleep.
