Easily the worst has been the Present George Bush. EVERY SINGLE THING has gotten worse than the way Clinton left it....most of all he has turned a SURPLUS into a HIGHER DEBT than ALL other presidents combined!!!!!!!!

I was in Diapers at the time, so I have to take my Mom's word for much of it, but I think the best was Kennedy. More than anyone I think, he had a VISION for what this country should be about. We started the space program, there were civil rights changes, he was tough on communism and handled the Cuban Missile Crisis well

I believe that Richard Nixon was an interesting dichotomy. He opened the doors to China and began arms negotiations with the USSR. He's probably the President who began the end of the Cold War. His domestic policies would be considered liberal by today's standards. But he was so personally corrupt that he destroyed his own Presidency. In many ways he was both, the best and the worst President of my lifetime.

George W. Bush because he thinks he knows it all, will not listen to anyone with an opposing opinion and is totally unqualified to be president. He has done great harm to our country and our fundamental rights. He has caused irreversible damage and death to Iraq, on trumped up WMD allegations, and is itching to invade Iran. I've lived through about 10 presidencies.

George Bush has been the worst President in my life time. The reason is obvous; he's got us in a war that we can not win and should have never been in. Going into Afghanistan after Bin Laden was fine, but not one Iraqi was involved in 9/11. We have no business being there.

Jimmie Carter.. Wrong man for the job. The Camp David agreement showed he was a magnificent diplomat.

His handling of the Iran Embassy crisis and the gas shortage showed he didn't have the b---s to be a leader.

GWB no need to say more. Nixon "Tricky Dick" Water Gate. Reagan, "to hell with the poor and mentally disabled." G. Ford got us out of turmoil, Clinton, the best in my life time, he was a good talker who got things done, he improved the economy, education, foriegn policy.

Since 1974 the WORST president was Jimmy Carter. Under Carter the inflation rate rose to over 13%, over 7 million Americans were unemployed, we experienced gas shortages at the pumps, 3 countries fell to communism, hostages were taken in Iran months after selling them over 70 F-14 fighter jets, and Americans had their heads hung low. We were told to knuckle down and prepare for the worst.

Then RONALD REAGAN came along and changed all that! Ronald Reagan created over 17 million jobs, cut black unemployment in HALF, and reduced the inflation rate to just 4%. Also under Reagan no country in the world fell to communism, he defeated the USSR without firing a shot, and restored American pride and respect.

So there you have it. Worst president since 1974 would be Jimmy Carter, and the best was Ronald Reagan.

Jimmy Carter - worst
1) Double digit inflation
2) Double digit unemployment
3) Gas shortages caused by by OPEC Oil Embargo
4) The "Misery Index"
5) Attack on American Embassy in Iran which was not followed by any action other than sit and wait. When a rescue mission was finally attempted FIVE months later it was poorly executed and required to be aborted. 8 servicemen lost their lives in one of the worst attempts at hostage extraction in history.

I think the worst in my lifetime was do nothing IKE. The best would be have to be a tie between the men who saved us from the Japanese and Germans, FDR and Truman.
