Some community colleges offer Customer Service training classes and other similar type classes. For a few bucks you can spend a Saturday afternoon, and get a certificate that you can use under the education section of your resume. That will help as long as you have the typing and computer skills.

Also, check out a temp service. Again, as long as you have good typing (over 40wpm would be preferred) and know your way around MS Office, they might be able to send you out. Then you build up your references and your skills.
