I wear MAC studio fix fluid foundation but I can't seem to find another foundation that actually lasts and controls my oil. MAC doesn't control my oil, I have to use blotting sheets throughout the day and powder. I am so sick of it, and with summer coming up it will only get worse.

Does anyone have any foundations that may be better?

Also, I am wondering if I should go to a dermatoligist and start accutane..it is said to stop the oil before even reaching the surface of the skin but I would only like to do this as a last resort.

Any help I would appreciate! Thanks

Well, just use a good face wash- you may actually want to avoid face wash that is acne clearing, as it may strip you skin of its oils, causing your skin in turn to produce even MORE oil. My dermatologist also told me that if you have oily skin you don't need a moisturizer. I only use moisturizer on winter days when my face feels really dry. Anyway, I just started using Bare Minerals makeup a few months ago and I love it. My skin is much better off with it! Bare minerals is a smooth powdery makeup, unlike the liquid foundation that cakes your skin and makes it even worse. I also carry around Clean and Clear Oil Absorbing sheets! They are miraculous! You can use them anytime and they wont take off your make-up. If you feel like you are getting oily, go to the restroom and blot it up! They work like a charm!

ok well idont know if there is a foundation that will stop the excess oil but there are many products that remove the oil and control ur oil like neutrogena lots of poeple tried it , it gets rid of alll the oil but personnally i din't like i used and it made my skin dry out , i have oily skin around the cheeks but then like forhead and my chin are very dry so i have to be care ful not to use a product that makes my skin to dry i use the biore products they have tons of products for oil control i use the mask it gets rid of l the oil but it also heps ur acne so if u dont have acne then try another product of biore but they work great they dont make my skin dry but doesn'tleave my skin oily there is a ltotion i think that controls in the biore products line , but my suggestion for really oily skin wash with dove soap (white sop) ike atlest 2 time a day in the morning and at night., and don't use a moistureze like lotion to often coz that can make ur skin oily, and there is also the cleasil oil control creme try that i thinks work great to get rid of ecess oil ,(but make sure ur not using the product 2 much u should only use it 1 a day, if ur skin is getting to dry because of the clearsil creme or biore creme, then use after every other day)ggood luck And oh sometimes oily facecan also be caused by oily hair so if u have like oily well wash them i guess and tie a ponytail at home so they dont go near ur face and give the oil. hope i helped

Neutrogena puts out a product for oily skin (it doesn't completely dry out ur skin - leaving it cracked and white - like other oil-controlling thing)
Its called: Neutrogenda Rapid Clear: Oil-Controling Foaming Cleanser

I use the Estee Lauder Clear Difference Oil Control hydrator. Works like a champ. It is kinda costly but I am able to use it with a foundation that is not Estee Lauder. And you don't have to use a whole in application. Good luck.

ok.. you wanna talk about oily skin???? i can put apiece of paper to my face at any given time, even soon after a shower, and it turns translucent or even transparent.

all foundations are shiiiiiiitty when it comes to oily skin since the entirety of the makeup industry is geared towards dry skin. GRR.
accutane apparently works really well and i havent met anyone whose had problems with it....
im starting it soon too....
seriously, i totally know what you mean...
