The federal government allows anyone 14 and older to work. You might have to inqure at your school to see if you need a work permit since you are underage. If you chose to work legally (aka receive a paycheck where taxes are taken out), you may be limited to the number of hours you can work legally while in school and during the summer.

You can also ask if any small local businesses would be willing to hire you for a job as a busboy/girl or someother job. You'll get paid under the table which could be better or worse than a paycheck with taxes taken out since the federal minimum wage has risen.
