i booted up my computer and it says enter password...but i never put one in. i tried to hold F8 when i turned it on but nothing is working! what can i do to get past this!?

If you never set a password, the just try pressing the enter button or click OK.

Does it load the OS? or is it a BIOS thing? If it's a BIOS problem open up your computer and for a RED jumper move it to the other pin for one second then place it where it was before.

were you asked for password at the splash screen or
were you asked for password at the login page in WIN 98 because both are different..
I will help you with it either both.
