If no ink at all, and it's been more than 1 week since you printed anything at all, then the nozzle might be clogged.

I'm assuming this is an inkjet/bubblejet and not a laser. If the above is the case and it's been sitting around for awhile, the nozzle's dry up. You can try unclogging them, use a qtip dipped in alcohol, or warm water, rub the gold contacts clean, dont turn it upside down though.

Printing out something, anything 1x a week to keep the nozzle from cloggging with inkjet. I make it a point to print out anything 1x a week and never have to worry about unclogging.

Good luck

1. Your printer is out of ink.
2. Your computer is not responding to your printer (try unconnecting the printer stuff from the back of the computer then back in)
3. Make sure your on what your trying to print, like dont be trying to print something but surfing the web. Make sure it's maximized and your on it, dont close it out.
4. Trying saving it and restarting you computer if 1,2,3 doesnt help.
5. If that still doesnt help, sorry.

you should just go to the trouble shoot section and whatever is wrong it should be able to fix it automatically since there are a few things that can cause that like no ink or something wrong with the print heads.
