If you are pregnant or have a child under 5 you can apply for WIC. You will have to attend some nutrition classes, as to all WIC participants, but as long as you meet all the eligibility guidelines you can receive WIC. Benefits will change slightly after pregnancy, but a meeting with someone at the WIC office can help.

WIC Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following eligibility requirements:

* Categorical
* Residential
* Income
* Nutrition Risk

Categorical Requirement

The WIC Program is designed to serve certain categories of women, infants, and children. Therefore, the following individuals are considered categorically eligible for WIC:
Women -- pregnant (during pregnancy and up to 6 weeks after the birth of an infant or the end of the pregnancy)
-- postpartum (up to six months after the birth of
the infant or the end of the pregnancy)
-- breastfeeding (up to the infant's first birthday)
Infants (up to the infant's first birthday)
Children (up to the child's fifth birthday)

Why would a 15 year old need WIC? Keep your legs closed if you cannot be responsible. Stop bringing kids into the world that you cannot afford to take care of.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, yes, other wise, no. But if you have a child under 5 years, the child can qualify.
