There was an article written that said if the money was distributed evenly, within 5 years it would be back to how it is now. Our system trains people not to be successful. If the key to success is what is taught in school (Go to school, get good grades, get a good job!), why aren't more people successful? The sad reality is that formal education only teaches people how to work for others and rely on a "retirement" fund, not how to create wealth or more importantly, be financially independent. As such, the majority of the population will not know HOW to make the money grow that they would get and would probably end up worse off than before they had the money.

My mentor told me that as long as you work for money, you will never have enough... The key is working for freedom, but this concept escapes the majority of the working world...

Hopefully a long time. Surely if the wealth was distributed evenly most Americans would know to save it and invest it. But most likely within a few weeks.

People who knew how to work would do well. Spoiled rich trust-fund brats would starve to death within a month.
