Tell them that the game is actually a world you captured inside of a cartridge because the people inside wouldn't stop bothering you and that if the aliens try to probe you, you'll do trap them inside one too and play with them when you get bored.

well what happens? what happens is that you were playing pokemon on a gameboy and an alien abducted you. and the alien probably removed your brains so you would put such a question under "philosophy". stupid alien.
