i was born with a hip defect and from an early age i have had to have x-rays. since the age of 6 i have been terrified of the x-ray machine.
3 yrs ago i had to have a full hip replacement and now i have to go every 6 mth for them. i am so bad i am shown in asap and one radiographer as refused to see me.
i break out in a sweat, i cry and feel sick!!
the only reason i can think the reason for this is because one of my legs is shorter then my other and they would pull really hard to measure it which was painful.

i have a friend who has a phobia about cotton wool!
mine are spiders and heights
i think the spider one started when i was small and in the bathroom and i saw a spider in the bath
i called to tell my mum and she said to run the tap and it would go down the plughole - it did but when i carried on brushing my teeth i saw it come back out - since then i am paranoid about them as they have SUPER powers
heights - make me feel giddy and sick - possibly totaly irratioanl or maybe a defensive action to prevent me climbing and then falling

sharks. i was born in south Africa and when i was about 4 a shark got through the nets and was caught, killed and put on a lorry with its mouth propped open with a stick. the stick snapped and i thought it was going to eat me and i ran screaming all the way down the beach. my stomach goes even watching them on the telly and i nearly had a heart attack watching jaws. needless to say i don't swim in the sea very often.
the lorry may well have been a tiny truck and the shark might have been a tiddler, but when you are 4 the whole world looks massive

Mine is not quite a phobia yet, but i get uneasy going over bridges especially when there over water. Every year it seems to get worse so i have to make sure i don't start avoiding them.
Second phobia is more my a**es than mine, but it doesn't like the open air. =]

NO, not that I can think of. The only thing I am scared of is being single for the rest of my life and not getting married and not having kids. YIKES!!!!!! Is that a phobia?
