your question is not gross. it can be a real problem for a lot of people. there are many things that can cause this problem. once or sometimes twice a day is normal. seven time is not. there could be a lot of reasons, why u have this problem. it can be diet, stress, anxiety, and a variety of physical reasons such as irritable bowl syndrome, intestinal problems. etc. best thing is to see your doctor who can assess this problem.. usually it is not a serous problem. and can be treated fairly easily good luck

Could be loads of problems, Be careful about accepting that It's IBS.
I was told at age 12 I had IBS and had to learn to manage it, after years of torture and massive weight lose (male 6ft 2 in, weighing only 9 stone) I was diagnosed with coeliac disease at age 21
Could just be lactose intolerence
IBS is just a symptom, you need to find the cause as someone else answered could be a IBD
Main thing to do is go see your GP

Crohn's disease or colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, polyps, lactase intolerance, etc.
Go to the doctor, for gosh sakes. I have Crohn's disease and would think 6 or 7 times a day would be a blessing. It can be much more unpleasant.
Medicines and diet help is available. Google Crohn's disease, IBS, etc. Lots of information on the web.

It may be nothing, do you have nay other symptoms? dark spots or bright red that could be blood in your stool?
Is it painful to have a bowel movement?
How urgent is your need to go are you able to hold it?
if yes to 2 or more go see a doctor, whatever you do don't mention IBS (irratable bowel syndrom) I am sorry people but IBS is BS, its a doctors catch all, as 90% of all patients just want to put a name to something. In a recent study people who went to new doctors and didn't mention IBS in their past were diagnosed with something more detailed like Chron's or Colitis.

There is no 'normal' amount of times to go. But it seems a little excessive to go 7 times a day.
Try probiotic pills. These probiotics are the natural friendly bacteria your intestines need to be healthy. Look in your local health-food store. They do work and will make your digestive system healthier.

Is this something that has just started happening? What are you eating? Are you feeling well? Need a bit more information to know if this is "normal" or not. Even if you are eating fiber, this still sounds like a LOT of trips to me.

Do you have any associated symptoms?
Tummy/abdo pain?
Loose or watery stools?
Any blood or mucus?
How long as this been going on?
Have you always gone this many times or is this a new thing?
Whatever the answers are to the above you need to get yourself to the doctor.

Do you really need to go so often, or are you making yourself go that often through habit?
If its not like water then I don't think you have a problem, everybody is different.
You may be eating a lot of natural laxatives, check your food labels carefully. eg some mints and chewing gum have laxative properties.

Both fiber and grease can cause food to pass through your system fast. If you look at your diet and nothing obvious stands out, mention it to your dr. next time you go. It could be an internal problem.

You eat alot of fiber based foods, like beans or something close to that? pooping 6-7 time a day isn't really normal, so try not to eat alot of fiber based food thats much...
