I was watching the After Oscar at the Oprah show. Gale was one of her guest and she was wearing this red gown. For those you saw this show, didn't you noticed that Oprah doesn't seem happy for her friend according to her facial expressions (not the things she's saying).

Oprah invited Gayle on her show and asked her to wear the red gown because she was originally planning to wear it to the Oscars, but couldn't. She's NOT jealous of anyone. She & Gayle are best friends. Best friends are not jealous of one another.

What you perceived as jealousy on Oprah's facial expression is just a girl thing - pure and simple. It's not jealousy, it's not envy - it's just that in any social situation, we girls like to be the center of attention (altho some will not admit it). In most cases, we are not even aware of it - it's mostly in our subconscious. I won't even attempt to explain it...no one has yet successfully unmasked the mystery of a woman.
Just think about it - Oprah is a generous person (other-oriented). It is hard to think of her as the self-centered jealous/envious type (except maybe in the love field) ------ ergo, she is not jealous of Gale!

I think they're so close that they're like sisters.
There is no filtering how they feel about each other, what they say to each other, what they think about each other.
I think Oprah thought Gayle was being nuts for wanting to wear her pretty new gown in the morning....just to show it off. Gayle was being Gayle....and Oprah knows how she is.

i doubt it. Oprah is one of the richest women in the world. why would she be jelous? i didnt see the after show but maybe she was jelous that Gale was getting all the attention and not her?
